Q: I have Panther but 4.5.1 doesn't run! Help?
A: Download v4.5 for Panther/Tiger here: http://grepsoft.net/dmg/JellyfiSSH45.dmg
Q: Will JellyfiSSH ever support ssh/telnet passwords?
A: One day. Still working on how to do it properly.
Q: Whenever I open the Terminal, it tries to connect to a ssh host - what's going on?
A: Looks like you have clicked "Use settings as default" in the Terminal's window settings. Terminal saves the opening command there too. Go to /Users/[yourname]/Library/Preferences and remove/edit the file called com.apple.Terminal.plist
Q: I want the ;exit option back please, how do I get it?
A: With JellyfiSSH 2.1.2 and greater, you can set Terminal closing in the Preferences. BE AWARE that ;exit in the custom strings will break the connection. Sorry.
Q: I seem to have a problem where the ssh string sent to the Terminal by JellyfiSSH is getting cut into bits - how do I stop this?
A: It seems to be cured with Mac OS X 10.2 and above.
Q: When JellyfiSSH opens terminal for the first time, I get a rogue window. How do I stop that?
A: Open Terminal, go to the Preferences, Click on Startup and set the "When Terminal Starts:" to Do Nothing.
Q: I can't add a bookmark, what's wrong?
A: It is possible you have an older version of JellyfiSSH which had an Add bug. Upgrade to the latest version.
Q: I can't add a bookmark, what's wrong?
A: All colours in JellyfiSSH are stored as RGB. Make sure your colourspace for your colours is RGB before adding a bookmark.
Q: Is iTerm support going to improve?
A: Yes! With each release from v3.1 onward, I will try to add more iTerm features - but Terminal is the focus.
Q: Where do I get iTerm from?
A: http://iterm.sourceforge.net/
Q: Will you ever charge $$ for JellyfiSSH?
A: There will always be a free version of JellyfiSSH - as long as OpenSSH is. Distribute it however you like - just include the ReadMe.
Q: Are you going to support intel Macs?
A: Done. Version 4.3 is universal.
Q: I have a good idea, do you want to hear it? Do you care?
A: Yes, I want to hear it - and I may even care! Feedback and ideas make this a better product for all to use. |
